Weight Loss Surgery For International and Out of State Patients 

Although our practice is located near Seattle, we see many patients from other states or other countries who want to take advantage of our experience and commitment to minimally invasive surgery including our experience with weight loss surgery, single incision laparoscopy, and our experience with laparoscopic treatment of splenic artery aneurysms. We have had patients travel from all across the United States and Canada, even as far away as Russia.

 

Our primary hospital affiliation is with Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue, WA. For the convenience of our Canadian patients, we now offer consultation, minimally invasive weight loss surgery, surgical follow-up including follow-up for LapBand patients who have had their surgery elsewhere, plus medical weight management programs in Bellingham as well as Bellevue.

 

We recognize the additional difficulties encountered by our international and out-of-state patients. We will always coordinate care with your local doctors, arrange for pre-operative work-up to be done in your local area, and try to minimize your out-of-pocket expenses related to travel. For your convenience, we make the following services available:

 

  • An intial first phone consultation with one of our surgeons to determine if you wish to move ahead.
  • An in-depth phone consultation with our patient care coordinator to arrange a tentative schedule for your consultation and surgery.
  • An in-depth phone consultation with your surgeon to develop a detailed plan of care including any needed work-up and a tentative plan for surgery.
  • Help with travel and lodging arrangements
  • We can schedule the a face-to-face consultation and final pre-operative meeting with your surgeon just a few days prior to your operation, saving you an extra trip to our area.
  • All our records of your care are sent to your local health care providers.
